Native to South Africa, the Pickle Plant thick stems that grow straight up and grow tiny leaves, but the leaves aren’t the show stoppers for this plant—it’s all about the markings, which resemble actual pickles. They reach about 12" in height but don't usually get more than 1 inch in diameter. They do flower, producing red or bright orange flowers in spring or summer.
Often sold as both Kleinia stapeliaeformis and Senecio stapeliaeformis, the two genus are closely related, but Kleinia is the correct scientific genus.
