The large, deep green oval-shaped leaves of the Hoya obovata Pink Splash are speckled with flecks of pink! The leaves emerge on long tendrils that shoot out dramatically from the base of the plant. Over time, the vines grow to be quite long, eventually sending out sweet-smelling flower clusters that look like little pink stars. Hoya obovata will climb up a stake or trellis, or you can set your pot in a hanger or on a high shelf and let the vines cascade.

Speaking of pots, Hoya like to be root-bound. You should not place them in a huge pot. When it is time to repot, go up only one pot size - meaning when it's time to repot this plant (currently in a 4" pot) only go up to a 6" pot.

Hoya want a quick draining soil - use a light and airy potting mix, such as cactus and succulent soil, with added perlite or pumice for increased drainage.

Light: Place in very bright indirect light, indoors or out (bring in if dipping below 55 degrees). A few hours of morning or late afternoon sun, especially in winter, is great.
Water: Allow soil to dry between waterings. Use your finger a few inches into the soil to test – it doesn’t need to be crunchy just dry to the touch.
